Seb Madgwick

Seb Madgwick is the director of the popular sensors company Technologies founded in 2011, making inertial measurement units (IMU). He is a Ph.D. student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at University of Bristol.

He has been building gadgets his whole life, from guitar effects pedals to autonomous flying robots. His passion is in understanding how and why things work and then to use that knowledge to make new and better things.

Seb joined the team to provide a few sensors and basic technical support, but this rapidly expanded to creating a complex wireless network of sensors and processors distributed around Imogen’s suit. He is now a core asset of the team, relentlessly seeking better sensing, networking, and wireless communications performance.
