Four Bend Sensors Per Glove?
The ArduIMU has six analogue inputs and we are currently intending to use six bend sensors. However, I am hoping we can get away with only four, the benefits of this would be:
- Simplified wiring/textile design
- Omit the external pull-up resistors.
- Reduce the BOM and assembly costs
- Free up two analogue inputs for user hacks and future development
We need to test how well Tom’s Neural Network is able to identify postures with only four bend sensors. This video shows how only 3 bend sensors can give the impression of far more complex intrustmation of the hand.
